If you mean install from a cd-rom or a dvd it depends on what waves put on the cd/dvd. If it says Mac and WIN on the cd/dvd it will work on both systems. If you have both Waves you can always download both versions from www.waves.com

The stuff I got from waves come with like 5 CDs, none of which had the software I purchased; I just downloaded it from their website; it's not a big download.
