Default how do i communicate with avid about there products with out paying for it

how do i communicate with avid about there products with out paying for it.

In 2 and a half years i have never once been able to finish a session in HD10 , every single session has ended with a catastrophic failure.
In HD 11 I finished 1 song a day or better.
Iv had HD10 since the first day it was released over 26 months ago and still have yet to finish a song on it because it goes hay wire.
I need some answers and i truly believe a refund is more than fair for the thousands of hours i have wasted with nothing to show for it in HD10.

Sorry for ranting but what else am i really supposed to do

Ah buy an ASC and phone Avid customer support.

All these hours of your time wasted is worth less than the ~$80 that a HD ASC costs? If you've have a problem like this for so long why did you not do this way earlier--including using one of your complementary (and now likely expired) ASCs? If it turn out in the end to be a clear bug in Pro Tools and not something you have set up wrong I'd ask Avid nicely to compt the call or provide another free ASC or similar.

If you want help here (mostly from other users) you need to clearly explain what the exact problem(s) is, the details of you system and what troubleshooting you've already tried.

Wow, sorry you're having such a hard time. Or did with 10. I know if it were me, I'd have sold it all and moved on.

Are you interested in getting 10 running better? OR maybe you just stick with 11 which seems to be working for you?

Iv had my HDX card for sale for 6 months not a single offer.

I used to be phatbeatstudio.
If you read my threads of that name you will come across a thread where someone suggests there should be a separate area just for all the problems i have, I have been complaining for over 2 years. check it out please.
HD8 worked fine HD9 worked fine HD11 as demo worked fine

HD10 has never finished 1 song since the day i got as a PRE PAID buyer the first shipment released. I pre paid and have not even used it yet over 2 years later.

I do not own HD11

I want avid to give a HD11 update FREE since it was paid for 27 months ago and i have not been able to use it until last month for 3 weeks.

I pre paid like a nice avid supporter. I think you will notice my opinion and change of attitude since trying to get somebody there to do something about this with no help at all.

I wanted fair market value which has since decreased because HD11 came out so i doubt i would sell it now. Im very tempted to just buy a new ilok every month instead of actually owning it.
After all the demo version is the only version that has worked in 27 months or however long it has been.
Since all im getting is mods replying could somebody be so kind to send this DIRECT to avid

There's really no need to. I'm sure Avid is taking a very close look at your posts, since you said you used to be phatbeatstudio...

Phatbeat...

I know I've dogged you a bit in the past, but I'm going to try to be helpful here.

Have you considered that perhaps you don't have the temperament to work with Pro Tools?

Temperament is not a matter of smart/not smart, it is a matter of how one's brain works.

People of one temperament, if they plug it in and throw the switch and it doesn't work, are willing to spend the time to read the manuals and do the troubleshooting required to get things to work. These type of people will come on a forum like the DUC and post very detailed messages, "The manual said if I do this, that will happen. I did this and that did not happen. I checked my connections; outputs plugged into inputs, I reread the manual, I even tried something else, but I still could not get it to work". When someone does this, most of us here on the DUC will spend quite a bit of our own time trying to help. And given enough detail, some of us will be able to say, "Oh, that happened to me last week" and give an immediate answer.

People of a different temperament, if they plug it in and throw the switch and it doesn't work, they are helpless. Even if they know how to do proper troubleshooting and documentation of a problem, their brain won't let them do it. So, they come on a forum like this one with no details of their problem, and no ability to gather those details, and consequently, none of us are able to help.

Keep in mind that there is no "value judgment" attached to these types of temperaments; it's not a case of one being bad and the other being good. They are simply different.

As an example, I don't fish. I simply don't have the temperament to just throw a hook in the water and wait for something to happen. But I will sit down and work for hours on end getting a computer program to do what I want/need for it to do.

But suppose I did decide to go fishing, and went out and spent $100 US on the "latest and greatest" fishing lure. I would probably then go to the fishing hole, drop the lure in the water for 10 seconds, and if I didn't catch a fish in those ten seconds, some aspects of my temperament would kick in and I'd go home. And I'd probably want to get my $100 back for the "defective" fishing lure.

But the problem wasn't with the lure...the problem was my temperament.

Phatbeat...if I may make a suggestion...spend a little time in front of a mirror doing a little self-analysis. It's possible you don't have the temperament required to use a product like Pro Tools, or even any DAW. It's possible you might have some undiagnosed form of ADHD or some other condition that makes it difficult for you to do the tasks necessary to get Pro Tools up and running properly, and to keep it running properly.

But however it all comes out, I do sincerely wish you "good luck"...
