That's funny. Perhaps they see threads like this the same way they see ADC threads... as stress relievers and sometimes UFC bouts. And when the dust settles they offer a Special HD Upgrade.

As you said, most of us use other software than just Pro Tools alone, and while some people spout ridiculous things like switching over completely to Reaper (which no professional in their right mind would do... yet), used in conjunction with other DAW's, it is a very powerful tool that does benefit us die-hard Pro Tools users in many ways.

DING... EPIPHANY... Now I get why Reaper threads are allowed. It is a new plugin!

This thread has already 53 pages. Shouldn't it become a sticky already? Any admin out there?

Actually, Reaper costs less than the VST to RTAS Adapter and offers a lot more.

Good point !!! Seeing as how Ivory won't work (yet?) for W7/RTAS, maybe I'll go this route and run it VST in Reaper rewired into PT.

Looks like your optimism has paid off Tom.

Switched from PT8/Digi002 to Reaper/Saffire Pro 24 DSP a few weeks ago, I'm actually excited about writing/recording music again! Funny how all of my EastWest plugins work fine in Reaper...

Nikki K and I solved that issue last night. See my Ivory thread in the Virtual Instruments forum. Need a couple of folks to verify it.

With the apparent failure of the jBridge Resolution, I am now moving to.. Reaper rewired into PT9, and bridging my very few 64-bit VI's in Reaper. This allows for VI's that get used consistently with a single patch (such as Superior 2) to simply stay loaded. More clumsy having to utilize 2 apps, but until something else comes along..
