Default Session 8 problem

I have a session 8 studio, with the 882 Hardware. My computer is having problems, and doesn't seem to recognize it. I have it hooked up to the HArd drive, along with my SCSI extra HD. The computer recognizes them both because when the PC is starting up, it says they are connected. However, when i try to bring up the session 8 software program on teh PC, it says "I/O device could not be detected, Make sure Audio Interface is properly connected and powered on."

I can't figure out what to do. I don't know if it's a connection problem, or a software problem...

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
God Bless,
-Evan

Default Re: Session 8 problem

Possible causes for this error:

- Version 1.7 or later of the Session 8 app is required for 882 I/O support.
- Audio Interface(s) not turned on or connected.
- Incorrect device listed in Session8.ini ("8x8" for 882 Studio, "4x4x2" for XL, "MOON" for 882 I/O).
- 50-pin cable not seated properly.
- Bent or broken pin on 50-pin cable.
- Ribbon cable between cards not connected or not seated properly.
- Cards not seated correctly.
- S8XL - Slave Clocks on the Interfaces connected in both directions.
- Possible SCSI Card failure.
- Bad CPU.
- The clock speed of the computer is too fast. In CMOS/BIOS setup, make sure the AT Bus Speed is 8.44MhZ or less.

Please let us know if you cannot solve the problem.
