Pro Tools randomly stops being able to type in dialog boxes

Pro Tools will randomly stop being able to type in dialog boxes. Keyboard shortcuts still work, but cannot rename tracks, rename clips, do a clip search, etc. Basically anything that opens up with a dialog box, Pro Tools will not type into it randomly.

The only way I've found to fix this is to quit Pro Tools and restart it. Is there something causing this that can be fixed?

I have same issue on 10.8.5 with 10HD. I quit and the open protools again and it's gone. Sometimes it does that thing and I think only bothers mountain lion users.

It's honestly just really frustrating that every version of pro tools has some kind of bugs with every different version of the OS. Is there a version somewhere that just f@#$ing works?

Well, 10 is pretty long in the tooth at this point, but there may be something else in your system causing this problem - I work fairly regularly on a number of studio rigs around town that are at 10.x.x and Mountain Lion and they're reasonably bug-free.

That said, 11.3.2 / Mavericks has been very stable for me for the last year or so (8 hours a day 5 days a week), and reports are good about 12.2.2, though I'm personally waiting for one more point release.
