Default HD Native Card And PCI-e x16

Hello all I'm new to Pro Tools so please be patient.

I have a Pro Tools HD Native Card and a HD I/O 16x6 Digital.

My question is can the HD Native Card work in a PCI-e x16 Slot?

My Current MOB is an intel DP35DP CPU Core 2 Quad. This Board has only 1 PCI-e X16 and three PCI-e x1

Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure that the x16 slot is for graphics and the HD/Native card should go in the smaller x1 slots. Maybe a call to the dealer that sold you the package would get better info

As far as I understand it, Pci-e x16 is back compatible. So it "should" work, but you should definitely get more info on it. Please post it here when you do get it.

It's working great in a x16 slot. It is backward compatible.

Thanks!

Native Card supports x4 PCIe slot and higher.
