command focus mode problem with keys

hi ppl

im running pt 7.1 LE with a command 8 and 002 rack, i frequently have problem with the command focus mode ...as soon as i press the r key to zoom.. the win xp run window pops up and the one key commands just dont work and cause chaos.it all settles down when i reboot the system, im running win xp home edition sp2 ..all updated etc...i never used to have this trouble on pt 6.9 LE .
any help would be appreciated.
