Pro Tools freezing when bouncing file to MP3

I am having trouble when I try to bounce a file to MP3 format, Pro Tools freezes up completely and stops responding every time. I have Mac OS 10.6.8 and Pro Tools 9.0.5.

This is a very recent development and possibly has something to do with the 9.0.5 update but I can't seem to get past the program freezing. Any ideas?
