Default Untuned

I have the following problem with PT8 + Mbox, both virtual instruments and audio tracks are detuned half a step down ... and not find a way to fix it. The funny thing is that when I play out of PT, with the same interface, everything is perfectly in tune.

Sounds like a sample rate problem. Do you have anything connected to the SPDIF IO on the Mbox? Did you import any of the audio(and maybe forget to check the box for SRC, aka Sample Rate Conversion)? Are you using a midi controller? If yes, does it have a transpose feature(which might accidentally be selected)?

Today, after re install protools and mbox drivers, only at 44.1khz everything seems to work fine.
When I create a new session at 48Khz, not only persists detuning problem, but on the MIDI port does not enter anything ... (at 44.1 the same session works perfectly)

SPDIF, Keyboard and SRC are OK.

Stuff playing at the wrong speed/pitch indicates a clocking issue or a driver issue(among other possibilities). If you are new to this, its more likely to be either operator error(and we've all been there) or a computer issue(Pro Tools works well on a few computers, and works poorly or not at all on a great many computers). One thing to try is, set Windows to NOT use the Mbox as a sound card, and see if Pro Tools operates correctly. Sometimes software conflicts can arise when multiple programs try to access the same hardware.
