I have received and downloaded space and the 16 stomp box plugins. My question is: do I own these plugins or will the go away when my perpetual license expires 3/31/16 if I don't renew?

• What happens to my ability to use 10HD/11HD at the end of the year subscription. Can I use PT 10HD/11HD or not once the subscription has lapsed?
• What happens to my ability to use PT 12HD at the end of the year subscription. Can I use the last update of PT 12HD once the subscription has lapsed or not?

The language in the HD upgrade materials is very vague on what happens to SW licenses you surrender as well as SW licenses you receive at the end of the subscription period. Avid - please clarify.

The "Plan" license expires after 1 year, so the plug-ins it authorizes would not work if you don't renew.

Yes to both of your questions. You are not 'subscribing' to Pro Tools/Pro Tools HD. The Pro Tools (or Pro Tools HD) license/bundle in an Upgrade Plan is a perpetual non-expiring license/bundle. It will continue to work even if you do not renew your plan.

the ilok license for the plug-ins is called "Pro Tools Plan" (go figure that one! - it's Avid's way of creating more confusion)
if you look at that ilok license it indicates it's a subscription with a date and time of self destruct...

So...When my "Pro Tools Plan" license expires, which plan do I need to buy to continue to use the plugins? Is it the $99 Annual Upgrade Plan, the $199 Annual Upgrade and Support Plan or the $99 Support and Plugin Plan? I would assume that it is the first and last.

It's actually the 2nd or 3rd. The first provides Pro Tools app upgrades, the second PT upgrades, plug-ins & support, and the 3rd plug-ins & support.

maybe calling the plug-in ilok license "Pro tools Plan" Subscription was not a great idea.
only servers to confuse customers....
But if that is your goal then consider it achieved!
