Default Instability of 7.3

Is it just me or does everyone get a red spike on the CPU when they launch any session in PT 7.3? I've generally had a lot more hassle, unpredictable behaviour and crashes since moving from 7.1 (which was rock solid).

Where did all the romance go?

Mac OS: 10.4.9/ G5 Dual 2.7 ghz/ 4.5 gigs RAM/ PT: 7.3.1 c4
