Re: Send could not be made active, not enough DSP
looks like the top chips are always the mixer chips. you need another card Chris.

Re: Send could not be made active, not enough DSP
? how are you getting 192 voices on 3 chips.
I'm thinking you have a DAE corruption

Re: Send could not be made active, not enough DSP
You need to get some more bussing power with another DSP card. Or use RTAS.
Or try and clear up some Busses kd |

This is a HD 6, only the top 3 cards are in view!! i have 6 chips 192 voices and i'm only using 132 voices and i have 380+ time slots left. I've done mixes 3x this size!! with no issues of running out of DSP. most likely it will work when i go in today Chris

Re: Send could not be made active, not enough DSP
Chris
just dealt with this on a mix that i have been working on for 2 years (band comes in intermittently every couple months). So it started in 7.x and primarily it was worked on in 7.4. Anyways, we were experiencing a TON of those messages in 7.4. Eleven seemed to be the culprit. I deactivated Eleven and we could get some routing going. But in 7.4, when we tried to reactivate Eleven, same issue. So I loaded the session into 8.1. Still a little squirelly. So I closed it, PT said something about freeing unused DSP, then I loaded a simple session. Closed it. Reloaded the buggy session.... all was ok and has been since. It's worked great ever since PT said something about freeing up unused DSP. I know little about the super tech side of DSP allocation. but I know 8 opened up the file when 7 wouldn't. You're already on 8. It seems like it needs to open it once the right way so it can remember it the proper way. doubt it helps but i figured I'd chime in, since it happened to me this week.

Well today i loaded the session and it said.. Track DLY 2 Insert A (H-Delay) has been made inactive because DAE error was encountered, error 7058. I loaded the session and tried to activate H-Delay and did the DSP shuffle and has been OK so far This is by no way a big session!! 12 chips free/ 50 voices free and 380 time slots free. Just one of those little blips i guess. Chris

Have had to deal with this on a HD2 with chips to spare - cycling DSP cache seemed to work things out

Re: Send could not be made active, not enough DSP
Chris-
Unrelated to your issue, but: how do obtian the color on the channels? I have been in PT 8 for over a year and not been able to achieve this. Thanks for indulging this query |
