Default Mac only version of the Mbox?

I'm looking at an m-box on ebay right now and the guy is saying that it's only mac compatible? Is this possible or does he just not have the software for the Windows systems? Is there a way I can get the windows software easily? I've already got PT 5.1 and 5.3 LE for digi 001. Would that work?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Make sure he fills out the transfer of ownership. Then you fill in your info, and send it all back to Digidesign. If you tell Digi that you are on a PC, you get the pc-software. Make sure you get the "Getting started" guide. That guide has the s/n you'll need to authorize the software.

Jeremy,

You can download Pro Tools LE 5.33 for Mbox here:

http://www.digidesign.com/download/mboxwin/

I would also suggest transferring the ownership into your name.

Fax us a completed copy of the Transfer of Ownership form.

You can download the form here:

http://www.digidesign.com/support/cs...istration.html

Fax: 650-731-6384

Hope this helps.

Mike

Oh, i forgot. As far as i know there is NO different version of the Mbox for mac and PC. IE the hardware is the same, the software is different.

Yes, I have run mine on both. The initial release was Mac OS 9 only but I have since upgraded to OS X and installed it on a PC as well.
