PT7 quits rignt after creating an aux track ...
I can'y seem to re-open my session...is there a trick ?

Try using Import Session Data -- sounds like an incompatible plug-in or corrupt session --- Import 1 track at a time.

In the Import Session Data dialog you get to select what to import -- select only the first track (to begin with).

Have you removed all 3rd party plug-ins? Try that as well.

I can't get the Import Session Data dialog to open... It keeps giving me the same error (or I'm dumb) !

So you create a new session at the same sample rate and bit depth as the session you're trying to open. Once the session is open... in the File menu under Import -- select Session Data... (Shift+Option+I).

A dialog will open where you can select the session file you're having issues with.
