Is it possible to keep a perpetual license and buy a subscription on the same computer?

Re: Subscription/Perpetual Lic Question
Huh?!?! For the purpose of? What you can do is have a perpetual license on one iLok and a subscription license on another iLok(or keep one de-activated in your iLok account). With iLoks, its possible to use multiple iLoks(even from different accounts) on 1 computer at the same time, but if the computer can see multiple Pro Tools license, that can cause some issues(especially if any are expired or if they are for different versions of PT)

Re: Subscription/Perpetual Lic Question
Or if you are asking a question more along these lines, you might be able to hold a perpetual license and have a current subscription for the support/update plan (like I do). But be warned AVID are really trying to make this option un-attractive to people, by making the non-sub version very expensive. https://shop.avid.com/ccrz__ProductD...&sku=DYNA20004

Re: Subscription/Perpetual Lic Question
I would like to purchase a subscription because it is cheaper and I like the extras that come with it.I know that I won't get the discount. I want to hold on to my perpetual license in case the subscription becomes to expensive for me.I could revert back to the 2021.3 perpetual license. So would I have to buy another Ilok?

Re: Subscription/Perpetual Lic Question
Thanks for the additional info. A new subscription would not impact your perpetual license. Another iLok isn't needed unless you want to run them both on different systems (but could instead use iLok Cloud for one of them if desired).

Re: Subscription/Perpetual Lic Question
Thanks for your help Jeffro. So am I correct in assuming that 2 PT licenses can exist on 1 Ilok?

Re: Subscription/Perpetual Lic Question
You technically could have multiple licenses but I wouldn't recommended it - if the perpetual has an older Release Limit or if the subscription expires that could cause a conflict. You'd be better off only activating one to your iLok. If you want to run a second system simultaneously and only have 1 iLok then use iLok Cloud for that license.
