Default Obsolete Features in Pro Tools

Anybody think there's certain features that are obsolete in ProTools or that they just don't use anymore? For instance, I NEVER touch zoom presets anymore, it's like the mouse and wheel are so much faster and less disorientating. That's just my personal preference though.

Zoom presets still in use here.
As long as you're asking, I'm curious if anyone uses these -

Options/Auto-spot clips - only gets checked by accident
Edit/Fades/Fade to start/Fade to end
---there are THREE ways to do these commands -
1) "D" or "G" key (in Commands focus mode)
2) Control-D or Control-G (in any mode)
3) Option-D or Option-G
Does anyone use #3? Free up those key commands! (for that matter, does anyone use "control" modifier+single key commands so they don't have to be in Edit Commands focus mode?)

Prefs -
-Operation
---Edit Insertion Follows Scrub/Shuttle (always checked here)
---Disable "Input" when Disarming Track (In "Stop") (always checked here)
-Editing
---Clip List Selection follows Edit Selection (always checked here)
--- Edit Selection Follows Clip List Selection (always checked here)

And how about changing some of the pref defaults?
--"Edit Insertion Follows Scrub/Shuttle" - please have checked (if you don't want to remove the pref altogether)
-- Default handle Length - please set to "0" - we have users screwing themselves all the time!

Audience??

I like having Auto Spot available for reconstrucing but see my post on IdeaSaclehttp://protools.ideascale.com/a/dtd/...ock/12533-3779

the Prefs look good but I would add:
-20 as the default level for post instead of -18

In 10+ years I've never used or felt the need for zoom presets.

I use zoom presets for music editing all the time, handy to switch from precisely 1-2 bars visible to half a song visible in a single click then zoom back in again with a single click. You just have to change the resets from their stupid defaults by apple-clicking on them. Otherwise Id get the R+T finger cramps and mouse wheeling is too imprecise for that sort of thing. I tend to use the modifiers+ mouse wheel or the jog/shuttle on my dcommand the rest of the time.

+1. I have to zoom tight on clicks all the time and this saves the RSI of R & T.

I hate. HATE the E key (whatever that zoom toggle thing is). Totally meaningless. Maybe someone will hip me to a great use for it.

Zoom presets and Zoom toggle are great for sync fixing assemblies. Left hand is practically claw. Middle, ring and little finger on 1 2 and 3 for zoom presets and index on e for toggle while thumb deals with command and option for the waveform increase/internal nudge.

If doing a lot of these I tend to try and break out Quickeys to save my hand at which point I move from 123 to ctrl alt command and use the num pad to trigger quickeys presets for zoom in and increase waveform, move to next region and zoom to '2' and change nudge to 100 samples.

Going between different samplerates i find the zoom presets usefull, but the keyboard shortcut and mouse scroling works fine to.

I wish there was a Audio Zoom to Default button or keyboard shortcut.
