VCA to control sub group aux level
Any idea why a VCA would be used to adjust a sub group aux level? Is it not redundant?

Re: VCA to control sub group aux level
I can think of a few reasons.
All subgroups can be grouped together and controlled by a single VCA You want to hide the subgroups but still have control of them in a VCA layer or layout via a control surface. You want to have easy access to Mute and Solo controls of the subgroup. You can get easy access to the subgroup on a control surface by spilling the VCA. Just to name a few reasons. There are no particular rules to having or not having VCA's. It's merely a matter of preference. |
