Default Clock error noise with 96 I/O (Sandra inc.)

Hello,

Brilliantly, this error is intermittent. The best sort.

We have 2 96 I/O's: one as loop master with an internal clock and the other set to external . Periodically, the terrible clicking and popping sound that I recognise as a clocking error (I maybe wrong) occurs when any tracks are armed. This can be allieveiated by going in the hardware setup and changing the clock setting from what it's on to something else then back again. Sometimes the error comes back and sometimes not.

We noticed that when we took the 2nd 96 I/O out of the equation the error would not occur. So we sent the unit back to Digidesign who returned it without finding any problems.

Also running sessions at 96 makes the error far more likely to happen.

Any ideas?
