Artist MIX POTS...Too loose.???

I find the artist mix pots to be very 'light' almost too loose, unlike most pots on a say a mixing desk...etc... They seem VERY cheap, and flimsy.....is there any way to make them have more to fight against.... Unless Im missing something, Thanks ROB
