002 reset firewire error

when i'm use 002 sometime firewire disconnect thenreset.sometime ok back to work.but most can not.my firewire enabler 2.8.5..but i can't find 2.8.6 from apple site.i'm not sure update to 2.8.6 will ok.anyone got same problem like me?

is 9.2.2 international english.firewire enabler/support 2.8.5

i can't find in answerbase.is a firewire disconnect need reconnect.i try to change short cable.still have the problem.when work after 5~10 min have this problem.digidesign say download 2.8.6.but i can't find this from apple site.when the 002 handup.the lcd show strange dot like this ((...:..".';..;.: . [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] )---i try to disable all other 3rd party firewire extension etc.i got pluggins 3.03.i trash it too.all the way i know i do all.i feel mybe the hardware problem.i hope u can help me.i was use 001 is very happy. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] now 002 make me sad. [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img] thxs

If you are seeing "garbage" (random dots, etc.) on your 002's scribble strips when powering it up, you need to contact Digidesign Customer Service for a repair/replacement.

This is a known issue with some of the first 002 units, and it has been resolved.
