Default Worldwide PT9 pricing

Can anyone explain, why PT9 (and Complete Production Toolkit) is far more expensive in EU countries compared to the countries where one can pay using US $? Prices in Euro are equal or higher than the US $ price, while the current exchange rate is $1.41 vs 1 euro.
For example, a Pro Tools 9 Crossgrade from M-Powered is $349 or 350.95 euro (which comes down to $495). For the Complete Production Toolkit an upgrade costs $1595 or 1618 euro (which again comes down to $2281).
While currently running 3 M-Powered (incl. Music Production Toolkit 2) and 1 LE license, this makes a huge difference in price.

Default Re: Worldwide PT9 pricing

Contempt? Because they can? Uk prices are 37% markup on US prices.

So I have to pay £300 to upgrade my HD system, I don;t want extra tracks, don't want Eucon just yet, though that does look funky, so all I get for a substantial investment is to remain on the upgrade path......
