Focus Fader when in VCA mode?

Hi,

When i am in track mode (VCA masters) in the custom fader section on the d-command, if i select a member of my vca master, in spill mode or not, it wont show up on the focus channel. The EQ and dynamics will, but not the fader. Is it normal behavior? Is there a preference for this?

To automatically focus VCA tracks when they are spilled:

In the Soft Keys section, press the Operation switch repeatedly to display the page that includes the Focus VCA Master When Spilled preference (“SplFcs”).

Press the Soft Key that corresponds to “SplFcs” to toggle the setting to “On.”

Also be sure you select "Focus" on the Mode Selector of the master channel....

Hi Louis,

I dont see this preference under the operation switch...
i banked them all but can find this one (SplFcs).
I have a blue d-command with PT HD 8 and 10.
Can it be related?

I'm afraid on D-Command you don't have the option of automatically focusing the VCA Master....:-(

Still, to see your spilled VCA member on the Focus fader, should work in the same way afaik. Be sure you have selected the "Focus" mode of course and not the "Sel" mode.

Yes, i am in focus mode.
Hmm, i find it weird that i cannot focus a VCA master or member in track mode.
