MBox2 USB LED won't light up LE 7.0 / OS X 10.4.11

MBox2 USB LED won't light up; computer doesn't recognize the MBox 2 when it's plugged in via USB

I bought Pro Tools LE 7.0 / MBox 2 while I was a student, and am just now getting around to using it so I'm pretty new here. (I know I know, shame on me...)

My problem, I think, is that I'm currently running Mac OS X 10.4.11 and Pro Tools LE 7.0.

Here's what hasn't worked so far:
-connecting to different USB ports
-connecting to a USB hub
-uninstalling/reinstalling Pro Tools
-restarting computer and reconnecting MBox 2

Any thoughts on how I can get the MBox 2 up and running??
