003 Drivers 11.0.0 & 10.3.3 co-install problem

I'm building a new boot drive with OS 10.8.4.

Pro Tools 10.3.6 won't connect to the 003 Console with 002_003 driver 11.0.0.

If I uninstall the 11.0.0 driver and reinstall the 10.3.3 driver, it works. Avid, any hope of fixing this? Anyone else managed to do the Pro Tools 10/11 co-install successfully with an 003?

Hi Reichman,

I'm trying the same thing on my home rig. Same problem here - once the PT11HD 003 drivers are installed the 003 isn't recognised by PT10HD.

How do you go about un-installing a driver? I am happy to just work with PT10 for now...

Thanks for confirming. Twice now I've managed to make it work by doing the following:

1. Launch the 11 driver, choose "uninstall".

2. reinstall the 10 driver.

3. reboot

Until 10.3.6 can use the 11 driver, this is going to be my workaround while I test PT11. Unless of course all my plug-ins are AAX ready tomorrow

i just put pt 10 and its say the selected asio hardware could not be initialized, it was working, i restarted my laptop now this, im using producer usb

As have been covered by other threads here (have a search) you need to have installed both the 11 and 10 compatible drivers for the 003 to have both work. They can stay installed simultaneously.
