DownMixer

I'm using a PT 11HD rig and I can't seem to to insert the DownMixer into a 5.0 stems to down mix to stereo , I can insert a LCR to stereo,a stereo to mono, but that's it, I've trashed my pref, data bases etc, yet I still can't insert Anything other than LCR, or stereo

the AVID downmixer only goes so far.
Spanner does the rest and then a whole lot more.

It will do 5.1 as well, but that's it I believe. Anything beyond that, I highly recommend Maggot Spanner, it does everything, including panning individual channels and levels…

That's right - I don't think there is a 5.0 version of the AVID plugin.
it does a handful of common formats and is free - so that's a solution much of the time.

for anything serious you should consider Spanner.

Really they don't have 5.0? Wow that's funky, do you have a demo period? Also do you up mix? Just me thought I'd ask , need down mixing right now,

I too recommend Spanner for all the panning job in PT.
With PT power in editing and mixing, it can't solo, mute, adjust discrete channels, down mix to mono, stereo, LCR, linking e.t.c in any multi channel buses or channels.
Spanner does it all and it works perfect! And it supports an iPad for manual panniers moving.

Just buy "Spanner". Well worth every cent!
Quite a bargain for it's flexibility. I use it on every session.
