Default Getting to the back!

SO.. I Built a custom desk for my control 24.....Now all I have to do is figure out a way to turn it on and off easily, AND get to my phantom power. Since most custom console desks are designed the same and don't provide good access to the back of these things, what do all of you guys do? Leave the on switch on, and remotely power the board up? Should I always leave my phantom on?

Default Re: Getting to the back!

The panels in my desk are on hinges so you can get to the back.
Otherwise, I'd have to say use something like a Furman rackmount powerstrip.
I usually leave mine on, but if I'm not going to use it for 3-4 days, I turn it off.
