XPAND Explained??

Hey guys,

I was browsing through the digidesign plug in site and came across this XPAND. I noticed it is FREE and just wanted to know what it does exactly? Can I use it with MIDI?? For instance, can i hook up my keyboard and get some sweet sounds from the xpand plug in??? how exactly does it work?

You sure can. It has some pretty sweet sounds. When you get it, open it up from pro tools under new track/instrument track. It will be listed under instruments where you pick your effects in the input.

The Pro Tools Accelerated Videos found on the Digidesign website are a good place to see and hear Xpand being used as a plugin. In the music creation templates parts 1,2 and 3 you can get a better look at Xpand - as well as other plugins. There are currently 20 videos. They are worth watching if you haven't already seen them.
