Default Basic Pro Tools use. Really Basic question.

When I was looking at the performance recomendation of using a second drive dedicated to audio I assumed it's use was for the entire session. Then I found out about the Disk Allocation Set-up feature.

So I was wondering what configuation do most users use?

Do you place your entire session folder on the Dedicated Audio Drive?

Or, do you place you session on your Boot Drive and set the Audio location to the dedicated Audio Drive?

I know that's a simple and basic question but I am always curious as to increasing system perfomance or just simplification of the setup.

Default Re: Basic Pro Tools use. Really Basic question.

I get my best results by doing everything on my second "Media" drive. I have my main C drive for my OS and programs only, and a second, slave, hard drive for all of my PT sessions. I use an external firewire drive for back-up.
