Default Startup disk

Hi everyone. My setup is a Mac Pro 2.66 Ghz Quad Core Intel Xeon and Pro Tools HD 2 version 8.0.5. I am having serial issues and I guess is my startup drive. I ran Disk Utility and it says my disk is corrupt.
I repaired my disc using the installation cd but my problems aren't solved yet.
I made a small research at the web and each kind of problem (and there few) are all refer to my system drive.
So, I want to buy a new system drive for my machine.
Which would be de right and compatible drive for me?
Best Regards,

Any 3.5" bare SATA drive will work. Your machine is old, so if you buy a huge capacity drive (3 or 4TB), you should doublecheck compatibility. But 1TB is a great size for a boot drive. Go to www.macgurus.com.

Good luck.
