Destructive punch, Satellite support, SYNC HD support and Track Input monitoring require HD or HD Native hardware. Those hardware features are not in PT9+CPTK2.

Specific voice allocation isn't available in PT9+CPTK2 either - that's HD only as well. The only option is Off or Dynamic (which is a shame).

So I guess that is also another feature/function that must be hardware based. Does that just disappear as well when you open HD 9 without hardware?

This is one of the ones I don't really understand. Voice allocation would have been nice.

So, to summarize, there are seven features in total that remain associated exclusively with HD hardware based systems at this time:
  1. HEAT support
  2. Track Input Monitoring
  3. Track Punch (punch in and out of individual tracks while others stay in record)
  4. Destructive Punch
  5. Specific voice allocation
  6. SYNC HD support
  7. Satellite support
Is that the full list, then?

Also, there is no varispeed/VSO in regular (non-HD) PT9. This feature may require the Sync hardware though?
It also seems that in PTHD you can choose your low-latency monitor path, whereas in regular PT9 it is always Analog 1-2.

Then my question is, how do owners of HD hardware do high quality pitch shifting and time stretching which most all other daws have since X-Form isn't included with HD?

By using XForm or another high quality pitch shifting and time stretching plugin. Some plugin's handle different tasks better than others.
