Default control 24 problem

My control 24 is offline and I cant seem to be able to get it back up. When I go to the peripherals window under ethernet controllers and check enable, it scans properly and rexognizes the control 24. However when I go under the "name Units" section and try to bring it in under #1 (or whatever) I get the message:

"An error occurred while trying to load the personality "CControl "24".

Then I get the multicolor wheel that turns and turns and finally I have to force quit protools "not responding". One thread suggested reloading the control 24 software from the protools disk but there does not seem to be any software on it.

I am using it with a mac G5 protools HD 7.2.
Help! thanks -bristokes

Hi,

The control 24 personality is installed when you install pro tools!!

Go to the digidesign folder inside the applications folder and remove the control 24 bundle from the controllers folder!! re-boot the mac then re-install pro tools from the disk and it will renew the control 24 bundle.

Chris

Thanks, Chris. I actually just dragged my protools folder over from my backup disk and it seems to have fixed it - same thing only different! - bristokes
