LE 8 Software Appeal.

Hi All,

Ive recently had to format my machine due to disk read issues and began a thread as such asking why the download on my avid account doesn’t work. (as i lost the LE install software in the format) I havent heard from avid about the issue and have spent countless hours searching the web for the software with no luck.

Ive still got my legitimate serial key (which I gained from my purchase the first time round) So would anyone be willing to mail me a copy of the software?

I am willing to pay you for your trouble and for the cost of a dvd disk but im running out of options as none of my buddies seem to have the windows version

Hi all, Ive just discovered that avid sell replacement software disks, ordered one today. Panic over :)

I've been having that problem with the DUC lately. I'm not sure why thats happening.

I suggested eBay as a final resort. You din't mention wht version you need. The last I knew the Avid store was only listing disk sets back to 7.4

Yeah, i searched ebay and most of the reputable retailers with no luck. Even went as far as torrent sites (sorry avid ) but they do LE 8 replacement disks from the avid store now

Im suprised by the lack of actuall physical human support there is from avid though. You have to search the site for ages to find the contact details you need.

Should have gone for the disk option the first time round really...

This is one reason you should really consider Acronis True Image Home 2010/2011

You could save a clone and/or image to another disk, and if this happens again, just pop in the clone or load the image and you are right back to your working system in 5 minutes or so.

+1000 for Acronis. And backup all your downloads(in case you need them later....like NOW). I keep copies of all downloads and updates on a USB drive, AND in a folder on my samples drive.....AND in a folder on the machine that I download with(PT machine does not connect to the internet)......AND I even have most burned onto CD-R. Having backup makes me feel all warm and fuzzy...or is that the JD?

Well now that i have a disk on the way its going to be opened, installed, closed and shipped to an underground safey deposit box at langley....
