PT First crashing or stuck on startup.
A client of mine had Pro Tools SE working on a MB Air and inadvertently installed Mac OS X Yosemite. This broke PT SE.
So I decided to move forward and install Pro Tools First. At this point, PT SE is still installed. I had a license for PTF deposited in my iLok account and in my Avid Master account and initially used that when starting up PT First. All worked fine. At this point, I realized that I didn't want to use our license and had my client create an Avid Master Account along with obtaining a PT First license. He doesn't have an iLok or an iLok account. Now, when I swapped logins I can't get past the loading database. If I do PT First crashes upon startup. To make things worse, I tried removing PT SE, but didn't do so properly. So now I need to know how to manually uninstall any bits and pieces. On top of that I'd like to know how to remove PTF and Avid License Manager. ALM seems to still think that PTF is licensed to our Avid account. I need to know how to un-license this PTF. I can't just wipe our clients drive, but don't know where to start. Need to know: How to remove PT SE How to remove PT First How to remove all licensing via Avid License Manager Thanks, Scotty |
