2 years with out an issue now this "cannot locate digidesign

guys all the sudden my computer can not see my digi 002, i have done what i have done all this past 2 years..now in no way does the computer see the 002...i tried to see if it was the software and it was not, i tried acid pro6 and the same thing the driver runs, but 002 is not listed...any reason why this is happening? i have 7.4 le runing...i upgraded to 7.4 cs2 worked great for a months now, but now this...i went back to just 7.4 , nothing changed... i tried turning the 002 on and off, pluging and unpluging the firewire cable from the 002 and pc, nothing, the 002 turns on like normal, but the computer does not see it, thus the DAW softwares dont see it, any help or tips guys, im going crazy...

and if that doesn't work, maybe its the power harness. If you spend any time up here, you should be familiar with this one. If you haven't, shame shame.

guys thanks for the reply....i changed the cable,still the same issue...i see the green light from the back of the 002 as a sign of link between the pc and the 002, but for some reason the pc is not seeing it...the power harness could cause this guys? im not saying that it could not be it, matter of fact it could be it, but how is that related to the firewire and the pc not seeing it, the 002 is powering on normal and the green link light is on...thanks again for your time guys, thank you, i will call digi to replace the power harness..but if someone can clear it up that would be great...

Have you tried connecting the 002 to another PC or laptop to check if it still functional?

Guys its working now....im not sure what was the cause, but i will write what i did in case it helps anyone with the same issue....i hooked up the 002 to my mac and it worked...so thought i see what my pc was doing wrong...i opened up the pc, un hooked the firewire card and wires, put it back on, and connected it...the pc saw the 002, now one thing i dont understand...when i install the 7.4 software and the drivers included in the software for the 002 , the pc would not see the 002..the pc only saw the 002 when i also installed the audio drivers 7.0 along with the drivers included with the 7.4, its kind of complicated,but i still dont understand why that is...but at least the pc sees the 002

Get the updated power supply harness (they even sent me a new power SUPPLY, overnight, no charge).
The price is certainly right.......
