I use Sound Forge 5.0 on my Digi Card with no problems. Do you get any "can't acquire hardware" errors? When you are talking about latency, I assume you are referring to the time it takes for a file to play back after pressing play, or are you experiencing it if you are trying to control playback of SF from an external sync source via MTC or what have you?
What is the most common sample rate you work with? 16, or 24 bit? 44100 or 48000K? Try working at a higher sample rate. Let us know the reults. Do you have the latest Wave Drivers installed? If not you can download them from the Digidesign website.

Hi, I'm DJ Branca's partner in the studio! Thanks for your reply and sorry I'm answering so late. No, the problem we actually have is not the one you reffered to, but the fact that when I try to record something e.g. voice in the SF 5.0 there is a latency of some milliseconds that can be listened using headphones and this disturbs the person who is speaking or singing: he is listening to his own voice in real time and to the recorded voice with a few milliseconds of delay. This delay is not due to a console or something, I'm plugging the headphone direct to the Digi 001 I/O box. We tried it with several combinations of sample rate (44,1/48 kHz) and resolution (16/24 bits) and the same happens. I think there must be some more configurations to be set but I don't know where, because I already set the SF with the lowest possible buffer (Preferences > Wave). The Wave Driver we're using must be V1.7. I thank you for any else suggestions!

Why not record in Pro Tools LE and just import the audio file to Sound Forge?
