I did identify it as optional. Personally, I'm not a fan of the plug-in rack concept. For me, the bundle just doesn't seem worth it. Maybe I would change my mind if I owned more than 3 SoundToys plugs.

Basically you're right in that the plugins are the same. I paid $50 to upgrade. No big deal. Mostly I got a rack. But try the rack - the rack presets are very interesting. They bring together very different processors to make a sound that would nit have been obvious. I also like making special resets using various ST plugins inserted in one shot.

Very different than the Slate Rack

The plugin interfaces have been updated. They now have much clearer tweak panels that are much more inviting than the old ones which are very small and clumsy to me. Major improvement.

I like the option of a rack, like using it before or after an amp sim and saving interesting fx chains. Could be awesome. I'm also happy we can still open them individually.

Definitely going to upgrade.

Just got the upgrade to V5 and I had to surrender 4 plug licenses to get it... $50!... bargain!!!

Oh, and its pretty sweet too. Love the rack, but you don't have to use it as Soundtoys provide you with standalone instances of each plugin as well!

Great.

Mr Slate... you paying attention????

We have the whole V4 native and 4 of the freebees and still have to pay $115 ..

This sounds very shady to me.

That's odd. I had echoboy, crystalizer, decapitator and microshift. Checked each one to surrender and reached the max with those four. $50. Couldn't say no. Maybe contact support Chris.

Just wanted to let y'all know that, in my case at least, the v5 versions of the single plugins opened all of my settings from v4 in older sessions. Man, gotta love Soundtoys.
