Making playback musica sound real
Hi guys,
I'm working in a tv show that has a lot of bands and artists playing live. But the sound that I have was produced in studio. The sound is really nice and clean. I have the bands playing in a theatre and also in a small rehearsing studio. What would you use to make the playback sound natural? Thanks, zzstation |

Re: Making playback musica sound real
Speakerphone, Altiverb, more Speakerphone, and then some creative EQ'ing to reduce high-frequencies depending on camera POV. Maybe upward compression at the start, too.
The film "Almost Famous" dealt with this issue really well. |

Re: Making playback musica sound real
Simple equal and reverb.
Maybe a bit of added distortion to dirty it up a bit. |
