PT audio files won't backup!

Hi all!,

So here is my latest PT mystery. I have PT5, a bunch of LVD Cheetahs drives and an AIT tape backup using Retrospect 4.2. Usually works like a charm. I have one client whose backups constantly have execution errors on the same files. It fails repeatedly in the compare stage of the backup. i have tried the following:
1. duplicating the file, but the duplicate fails.
2. Cleaning the AIT heads
3. Backing up to two tapes even with the errors, initializing the drive, restoring and then trying to backup again.
backung up my system drive to the same AIT tape to see if it is the media.

Any guesses or troubleshooting ideas? I'm stumped...

Only that one client? Is he bringing in data on ait, hd, cdr from another studio?
