DAE Deck?
I've just upgraded to OS 9.04 and installed PT 5.0. Upon attempting first launch, I'm getting "Unable to Create DAE Deck" message and the launch is aborted. I've never seen this term "DAE Deck" before. Can anyone PLEASE tell me what this is and what I have to do to overcome it and launch PT?
Thanks [This message has been edited by winston (edited May 12, 2000).] |

Re: DAE Deck?
i got this once when i forgot to turn on my expansion chassis,so it may be related to not being able to communicate with your digi cards.try running digitest on them.

Re: DAE Deck?
The primary cause of this error is as chris said, unable to commincate with the hardware. A secondary cause is due to insufficient RAM. Pro Tools 5.0 requires a minimum of 128MB to launch the app with a MacOS base extension set (including Digi extensions). If you have changed your minimum and/or preferred memory sizes for Pro Tools and DAE, set them back to default by highlighting the respective fields (in the File>Get Info window), typing a 0 and pressing Enter on your numerical keypad.
