M-Audio Keystudio Not Working

Hello,

I bought the M-Audio Keystudio some time ago, and couldn't get it working for Pro Tools for a while. When I pulled up Garageband, it recognized it right away, so I figured I was just missing some sort of option changing or input option.. something of that nature.

I've been using it in Garageband for about 6 months now, and when I try to use it in Pro Tools, it just never does anything. I can select Keystudio for a MIDI or Audio track, but it just doesn't budge when I try to play it. What am I missing here? Maybe there's another sort of track I have to enable or something? I have no idea. I'd love to use it to control a virtual instrument, such as the Xpand 2.. but I just can't figure out how.

I'm not sure if I'm just COMPLETELY missing something or it's faulty equipment.. not compatible, etc.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I've been trying to figure this out for quite some time now.

That is weird. Have you trawled through all the preferences and midi settings inside PT?

I just had this same problem with my m-audio axiom 49. I experienced the "BLUE SCREEN of DEATH" all my modes were locked and the null and bank button were lit and locked. I also tried re installing the enigma software to send it back to factory settings... Nothing. So finally after numerous attempts and fails.. I decide to try one last thing. A new 12v power adapter and it WORKED!!! The screen came back and the keyboard reset itself. I hope this works for everyone else if they try. Cant promise anything but do try this

Are you record enabling the Midi track?

Under 'Options', did you check (activate) Midi Thru?

Have you added the device in the Midi Studio window? Nothing works until its listed and assigned a port there.
