Default Can\'t enter memory locations with \"enter \" key?

I recently upgraded to 6.7, and I can no longer add a marker using the enter key on the fly. I think I'm probably doing something wrong or have a goofy preference... Any help would be appreciated.

Which Enter key are you using..? You must use the one on the Numeric Keypad. On a Powerbook that means you need to hold down the Fn key I believe.

Thanks for that speedy reply. I tried using the fn key instead and still no dice. It's weird I'm using the only enter key on the keyboard, that I've always used.

On my laptop you must hold down the Fn key while pressing the Enter key.

The regular Enter key takes you to the top of the session.

What language is your OS and keyboard?

On my PowerBook I have to press a certain F-key on the top row. Since it's not in front of me I can't tell you exactly which one, but it's near the center. I think it's labelled KEYPAD or NUM LOCK. Whatever it's labelled, it's the one the lights up with a green light to indicate it's active. Now the "keypad" is active and the "enter" key is now the "keypad enter" key. You can also use the alpha keyboard as a number pad -- the keys like "j, k, l, or ;" become number keys.

Sorry I can't be more specific than that. I'm at work and my PowerBook is lounging at home.
