Default PTLE locks up using MIDI

Is there any previous posts, or cases of why MIDI keeps locking up with PTLE?
I use a Korg MS2000R and when laying down MIDI tracks PTLE will freeze up and I have to end task and restart my pc. Typically if I program with Reason I don't run into that problem. So I'm wondering if PTLE is not jiving with my MIDI controller. I'm using a M-Audio Radium 61 keyboard controller and the software that comes with it. I'm wondering if I need a more powerful multi-port controller.
