editing questions
does anyone know a short way to align the end of a region to the end of another region (on two different tracks) ? Currently I'm using the first workaround that came in my mind (duplicate region1, ctrl drag the new duplicate to track 2, ctrl command drag region 2 so that its end will "touch" the duplicate region start, and finally erase the duplicate ...); it's quicker to do it than reading this, but anyway ... the manual talks about aligning start to start, end to start, start to end is obvious (shuffle mode), but end to end I can't find anything about ... javascript:void(0)
another editing thing: if you have two regions and a gap between and you want to trim region 2 to the left (not moving it, just trimming ...), until the gap is removed and the two regions get adjacents, being sure they "touch" each other; can you do that simply without zooming (and zooming again) and trim by hand? thanks for any tip on this

Re: editing questions
You use the modifier keys to snap the region end to the cursor position.. on the Mac.. use Command+Control with the Grabber Tool.
On the Mac, use the Control modifier to expand the region boundary without extending past an adjacent region. Rail

Re: editing questions
What about using spot mode copying and pasting the end times when select the region which you want to align to.
Should work |

Re: editing questions
Regarding your second question...
I think you can do what you're talking about by using (on a Mac) Control-Trim. Hold down the control-key and trim out. It will stop at the next region boundry, as long as you have enough audio in the file to reach there. Or, as they say in the support business, RTFM. -Curt
