Default Anyone using Antares Mic modeler to process tracks?

Hey guys- just wondering if any of you are using Antares mic modeler to process tracks outside of PT and than use them in you sessions? If so, what are some cool resutls you have used. I really thing the mic modeler is like a fine tuned eq. I tried processing my SM57 mic'd guitar track and processed it into a Royer 121, sounded pretty good once inserted into my session. Whats your opinions on this plug?

Default Re: Anyone using Antares Mic modeler to process tracks?

I like the plug alot...it did wonders for me when I use to use cubase. I had an NT1 which is good mic for the price but it needed some power. The mic modeler was heaven sent. Sad to see it go when I moved to PT. Since then I have upgraded to my NTK and haven't looked back.

Side note:

I have been to at least two multimillion dollar studios who use them, and they are using 2 - 4k dollar mics! "This one will make you sound like your using dre's Sony 8000" is what they would say. See what technology does? You are never happy with what you have...no matter how much money you spend!
