Default PT 7.4 midi monitoring

Is there a way to monitor and record incoming midi on different midiports?
For example, I want to monitor an external clicktrack on port 1 and record
midi on port 2.
I know it can be done with record-arming all miditracks/instrument-tracks,
but it's very tedious to arm them every time.
Is there another way?
