Default Avid Artist Control Encoders - Can we make them linear?

Ok so I'm really enjoying the Artist Control.... I'm actually having no connectivity problems and everything seems to work as it should.

However, I really HATE these encoders. How the hell are you supposed to write predictable automation when the encoder accelerates unpredictably?

is there ANY way to make these things behave in a more linear fashion? Who's terrible idea was it to have encoders behave in this fashion?

People complained about it for quite some time. The only workaround to the problem is using Artist Mix and flipping encoders with faders - then you can control sends or plugin parameters with faders.

Well - that's great solution for people with Artist Mix's!

Ok then - I assume this is something that will never change, eh?

That's pretty incredible - I can't imagine that ANYONE likes the way these encoders behave.

It really pisses me off. It's the one major gripe that I have. I don't have any stability problems, still running version 2.6.2.

Yea.. after all these years I can't fathom why they are the way they are.

I mean - literally unusable for writing automation with. why wouldn't this be something they fix?

Everything else works great... but come on.
