Default A little advice

Hey everyone,

haven't posted for a while and just did a search for past info.....
my question is, Will LE 6.4(cs9) run fine on a AMD dual cpu system....?
CUrrently run Pentium 2.4,512 ram...which works ok...until I try loading a few rtas plugs.

So thinking of upgrading....any tips,
thanks fro your help

Dorien

i'm not positive here, but I dont think you'll benifet that much from a dual cpu system with 6.4.

I think with 6.4 PT will only recognize one of the CPU's. What you could do with it though is have one CPU dedicated to ProTools while the other for windows and everything else.

Where as with the newer versions, Pro Tools will actually use both processors.

6.4 is not set-up for x2 cpu's 7.x is what you'll need for that.

Either turn off 1 cpu or go with the AMD 64 4000+ single cpu.
