Re: installing plugins?
Don't know about the 2nd question, but the plug-ins should have installation instructions with them when you run them. They generally work all by themselves, though you may be prompted to pick a install location....

Re: installing plugins?
1- you install them like any software. They are only available in the insert drop down menu and audiosuite menu. You will not find them outside Protools
2-TDM plug-ins do NOT work in LE. LE uses RTAS or wrapped VSTs.

Re: installing plugins?
Pretty much all plugins designed to be used with PTLE will install into the correct folder, but if they don't, you'll have to move them over to it. Of course, I've totally forgotten what folder it is...
As for TDM, no, they will not work with PTLE. The TDM format works with a different version of PT, and with dedicated processing cards. You need RTAS or AS plugins, which are compatible with PTLE. VST plugins by themselves are not compatible, but there is a program (a wrapper) which allows you to use them...at least, that's my understanding...do a search in the DUC for vst wrapper.

Not necessarily...my Waves Native Gold are direct x compatible as well, so they work in the Sonic Foundry environment. Of course, the key words there are Direct X. Otherwise, it's what he said
