Default Hum from Monitors while Pro Tools open
Whenever I start up pro tools I start getting a hum from my speakers. As soon as I close it, it stops. Anybody seen this before?

Yes - i get the same thing. Funny thing, I don't get this when I open Cubase 6 or Reaper????

Narrowed it down a little more. It starts when I instantiate a virtual instrument. Even with the ones that come with it, like MiniGrand.

Hmmm haven't seen that before. Have balanced cables running to your monitors? Might help.

I get the hum (only in Protools) whether I'm using my eleven rack or my RME Multiface as my interface.

No hum here using 2626 and both live and virtual instruments
