Looking to built PC, need some help.
I am using DIGI001 and need a PC that can handle lots of plugins my 450Mhz is dead. I want to know if someone could tell me or help me find a good and fast motherboard and CPU? I have about $1000.00 to spend, I know I can built one for less then $900.00. I have seen it posted but can not find that post again. This system will only be for recording.
Thanks to whom ever helps. |

Re: Looking to built PC, need some help.
I don't rely too much on names when it comes to PC products. However, when it comes to motherboards I like to stick with ASUS boards. For a CPU, I'm a purist and would stick with Intel.
Because of how fast things change I don't keep up with the bleeding edge all the time--I wait until I'm ready to purchase--so I can't tell you the current top model but in my most current box I'm using an ASUS P4B266 with a P4/1.6 CPU and I'm very happy with it. (It's a couple years old but it's still doing all I need it to).
